Friday, we talked about the poll for graduation season that asked thousands of Americans, and most said YES.

55% would go back and do it again, but most said they'd do things a little differently . . . 5% aren't sure . . . 40% said no way, once was enough.

There were a lot of different categories asked about as well.

Rules and Rebellion:  55% had a curfew . . . 31% snuck out of the house . . . 52% got grounded . . . 50% skipped school . . . 43% got sent to the principal's office . . . 37% got detention . . . and 35% got into a fight.)

(Friendship:  62% made a close friend they still talk to . . . 53% went to at least one house party . . . and 49% hung out with friends at the mall.)

(Academics:  47% made honor roll . . . 54% filled out a college application . . . 32% cheated on their homework or on a test . . . and 60% failed a test.)

(Extracurriculars and work:  62% had a job . . . 51% were part of a club at school . . . 48% volunteered at least once . . . 39% played on a sports team . . . 31% were in band or choir . . . and 30% were in a school play.)

(Drugs and alcohol:  49% drank . . . 37% smoked at least one cigarette . . . and 28% tried pot.)

(Driving:  64% got their driver's license in high school, but that one really depends on how old you are:  82% of Boomers did, compared to just 42% of people under 30.)

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - George Lucas's original title for "Star Wars" was "The Journal of the Whills".  Then he changed it to "Adventures of the Starkiller, as taken from the Journal of the Whills, Saga 1:  The Star Wars".  Fortunately, he shortened it.
