While "mogging" may seem like just another unintelligible entry in the Gen Alpha dictionary, it reflects a deeper fixation on comparison, cockiness, and confidence in online spaces.
At its core, “mogging” is about comparison: when one person significantly outshines another in looks, physique, or even life status. Being “mogged,” on the other hand, means being on the losing end of that comparison.
The term fits neatly into Gen Z and Gen Alpha’s obsession with self-improvement and competition.
The term stems from the acronym “AMOG,” or “alpha male of the group,” and first appeared in online forums in the mid-2000s to describe one man visually surpassing another, often in terms of height or bone structure.

The Alcatraz Swimmer: Biologists are stunned by a male coyote that swam two miles across the bay to Alcatraz Island—twice the distance anyone thought a coyote could handle.
The park service was prepared to capture and relocate the coyote because of Alcatraz’s role as a seabird nesting habitat. But he has never again been spotted or caught on recording devices, and there is no evidence the coyote is still on the island.

Decades after the sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati went off the air (on TV), a real radio station has officially launched in Cincinnati using those legendary call letters. It’s a full-circle moment for TV fans and local broadcasters alike.
The format — music from the ‘60s to the ’80s, with an emphasis on the 1970s
The show “WKRP in Cincinnati” ran from 1978 to 1982.
The voice of WKRP in Cincinnati star Gary Sandy welcomed morning commuters to the newly rebranded broadcast on Monday. But first, listeners were treated to an hours-long teaser when the stations continuously aired the WKRP theme song from midnight to the first broadcast of the morning.
Richard Sanders, who was the meticulous news reporter Les Nessman jokingly provided comment from his own character to the AP on Monday, writing via email, "I have spoken with Les Nessman regarding the resurrection of WKRP in Cincinnati. After the failure of his dream to replace Walter Cronkite on the CBS evening news, he is hopeful that he can resume his duties as the News, Sports, Weather, Traffic, and Farm Report Director at WKRP."
