Did you know that microwaves can cook food unevenly leading to "cold spots"? According to Michigan State University, these cold spots allow harmful bacteria to survive during the reheating process.
Gross.
So maybe the time saved is not worth it after all? But if you're going to nuke things anyway . . . here are five foods that food experts warn should NEVER be microwaved:
1. Hard-boiled eggs. It builds steam within the egg, and can lead to an eruption whenever the egg is cut into. Or even worse, when you bite into it.
2. Foods rich in vitamin C. Like broccoli, bell peppers, berries, and leafy greens. When exposed to heat, the vitamin C is destroyed. It's recommended to eat these raw whenever possible.
3. Chicken. Food safety wise, reheating chicken is safe. But it won't be yummy. All of the moisture evaporates, leaving the chicken with a weird taste and texture.
4. Seafood. Guaranteed to dry it out. It's from the SEA, so high heat is not ideal. Unless you like rubbery fish, then go for it.
5. Steak. If you microwave steak, it causes an uneven reheat. It will dry out in certain spots, while other parts remain cold.

We all get scammers, not only phone calls but texts. Buzzfeed has collected how some people who absolutely shut down some sorry scammers.

It's really funny how it doesn't take much for the scammers to lose their cool.
Scammer - Have you heard about the ongoing program that is really paying now?
Person - Greet first
Scammer - Good Morning
Person - Morning, You can now proceed with your scam
Scammer - You are a ba#%@rd, Fool.
Scammer - What have you been up to since we last talked?
Person - I'm working for the Feds now in their digital fraud division. Who is this?
Scammer - Sorry, I sent a wrong text message. My friend contacted me so please ignore this message and have a nice day.
Scammer - Hello
Person - I apologize. I missed your text because I was right in the middle of a cyber security class where I am learning to reverse hack scammers and hackers so I can fid their locations, provide evidence to the local authorities and get a lot of malicious actors arrested. How may I help you.
Enjoy, learn and try these for those scammers. Remember though, answering tells them that you have a viable phone number and you might get more scams.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - The U.S. used to have more time zones than we do now . . . A LOT more. In the early 1800s, cities could set their own time based on the sun . . . and there were 144 separate time zones. We got down to four in the continental U.S. by 1883.
