The world of credit card collecting has a new champion. A man from India (Manish Dhameja) has claimed the Guinness World Record with an incredible 1,638 valid credit cards. Maintaining a huge collection isn’t easy, as every single card must remain active and usable to qualify for the title.

Happy 100th birthday to the legendary naturalist and broadcaster Sir David Attenborough . To mark the occasion, scientists have honored him in the most fitting way possible: by naming a newly discovered species of wasp after him. Nothing says "we love you, David" like a stinging insect with your name on it.

Attenborough, who has inspired generations to fall in love with the natural world, shows no signs of slowing down. And honestly, if you've reached 100 and someone names a bug after you, you've officially won at life.

This is one of the most creative fundraisers we've ever heard of. Silver Crest Hospice has launched "Uplift for Life 2026" in Paris, Texas — a community fundraiser where residents donate gently used bras, transform them into artistic masterpieces, and then watch local firefighters and police officers model them on a runway .
Each decorated bra is created in honor of someone who has battled, is currently battling, or has lost their life to serious illness. The designs will be showcased online, where the community can vote for their favorites through donations . The top designs will be featured at an August gala, complete with a raised runway, guest speakers, silent auctions, and those brave first responders strutting their stuff.
The goal? Raise over $100,000 to support local families facing life-threatening illnesses. Organizers say: "It's a reminder that in this community, no one stands alone"

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - New York City's first subway was built in secret in 1870, dug beneath Broadway by Alfred Ely Beach for 58 nights, without the knowledge of Boss Tweed, the political power broker who controlled the city. Nearly half a million New Yorkers rode it before politics, and a stock market crash killed the project.
