First Contact Day - Star Trek fans know the first contact between humans and aliens took place, when the Vulcan ship T'Plana-Hath landed in Bozeman, Montana. It had been tracking the warp signature of the Phoenix, the first human ship to reach warp drive speeds—a speed created by its pilot, Dr. Zefram Cochrane. A Vulcan disembarked from the T'Plana-Hath and greeted Dr. Cochrane with a split-fingered Vulcan salute and the words, "Live long and prosper."

The first NASA crew to go to the moon in 50 years will include the first woman and first African American on a lunar mission in the history of spaceflight. The Artemis II mission, which will circle the moon but will not land on it, won't launch until at least late 2024. A year after the mission, two astronauts will become the first to walk on the moon since 1972.

It's a live-action Moana in the works, and Dwayne Johnson will return in the role of Maui. Jared Bush who wrote the original screenplay is back to write the remake.

Moana took its inspiration from Polynesian myths as it told the story of a young woman who disobeys her father, the chief of an island that is dealing with an impending ecological disaster, and goes off on a quest to reunite a mystical relic with its owner, a goddess named Te Fiti. Along the way she released Maui from his island prison, is captured by a monstrous crab, and finds the strength to become the chief her father believes she could be.

Axios.com had an article on how self-driving cars see the world around them. It's all sensors, cameras, radar waves (think how bats see), and lasers. They all have to work together, which got me to thinking...how just filthy does your backup camera get in the winter? Come up with an easy way to clean those!!!!

See the infographic here.

Bella Ramsey from "The Last of Us" revealed that they likes eating cereal with orange juice in a recent interview with "The Hollywood Reporter". They said they tried it years ago when they didn't have milk.

Bella later shared a photo of what it looks like, and the Internet is pretty divided.

One person tweeted, quote, "They're actually a genius, why have I never thought of this."

But another said, quote, "Bella sweetie, I have absolutely nothing against you, but [what the eff] IS this . . . looks like watery vomit."

A "Harry Potter" TV series is in the works, and if it happens, it'll probably end up at HBO Max.

This won't be a spin-off series like the "Fantastic Beasts" movies. Instead, each season will be related to one of the "Harry Potter" books. It's not clear what, if any, characters we already know will be involved.

J.K. Rowling will have some creative input, but she won't be the primary creator or showrunner.

A poll asked people how they store various things, and here are the results:

3. Pesto: 90% say it belongs in the fridge, 10% say the pantry is fine.

4. Pickles: 89% say they belong in the fridge, 11% say the pantry is fine.
