The world’s oldest living land animal has died.
Joe Hollins, a veterinarian who cares for the Seychelles giant tortoise named Jonathan, announced his death on X on Wednesday. Jonathan was estimated to be more than 193 years old and weighed about 400lbs.

Hollins said he was heartbroken, but that Jonathan died peacefully on St. Helena, a British Overseas Territory in the South Atlantic Ocean where he had lived since about the age of 50.
Jonathan holds several Guinness World Records, including the world’s oldest living land animal and the oldest chelonian -- a category of reptiles including all turtles, terrapins and tortoises.

April Fools pranks
Chemung County Fire & Emergency Management has officially expanded the fleet. ✈️🚨
This morning, we proudly received our new county aircraft at the Elmira Corning Regional Airport to help us get to conferences faster and provide trainings to fire and police agencies across Chemung County with maximum efficiency.
With this new addition, we expect significantly improved response times to meetings, smoother conference travel, and at least one person in the office asking if it comes with emergency lights and a siren.
April Fool's Day was yesterday. Major retailers rolled out their fake products.
From Butter Chicken Masala Vodka, a luxury fragrance that smells like "brand new phone", heat zone mapping smart glasses that let you know when your steak is medium-rare, and "Apple Find My" compatible socks.
IKEA and Chupa Chups teamed up for a meatball lollipop.
Claussen and Premier Protein teamed up for "a big dill," claiming to offer a pickle with 30g of protein for the "protein-maxxing" crowd. Dill-iciously crunchy
Red Lobster and Pop-Tarts teased a "swavory" (sweet and savory) breakfast pastry that tasted like buttery, garlicky cheddar biscuits.

For April Fools' Day, the Tijuana Flats restaurant has introduced the Iguana Burrito, made with “the chicken of the trees.”
Killer Brownie and Moe's out with their Queso Stuffed Brownie.
Jamba's April Fools' Day lineup includes "a bold pickle-forward lineup" with a smoothie, bowl, and over-ice beverages Pickle LemonTwist and Pickle Dream Machine.
Halls Cough Drops is paying an April Fools' Day tribute to grandmothers with hits "Grandma's Purse" flavored cough drops, which boast "a true vintage taste, aged to perfection, the flavor tastes of lavender and lint."

In Poland two burglars were determined to break into a house but must not have been professionals. First, they parked in the driveway instead of on the street, which would make it easier to get away. Then they broke in through a window on the front of the house, instead of a less visible back window. Then the owners came home while the burglars were inside, so they parked their car behind the burglars’ car in the driveway and called the cops. The robbers, realizing they couldn’t go out the front door, escaped out the back door and ran for several blocks. Thinking they were home free, they flagged down what they thought was a taxi — but it was an unmarked cop car on the way to the burgled house.

As everyone dives into spring cleaning this week, professional cleaners are sharing the one rule most people break: Dwell Time. Most of us spray a surface and wipe it immediately. Experts say you should spray and wait at least 60 seconds to let the chemistry do the heavy lifting. For bathrooms, they recommend waiting a full five minutes.
