Did you do your taxes last minute yesterday?

According to a new survey for Tax Day, 47% of us procrastinate or delay doing our taxes.  The average person spends eight hours just stressing about it each year.

43% of us will spend more time avoiding them than it would have taken to just buckle down and get them done.

New research shows that the average American kid gets bored in just 33 MINUTES.  Which actually seems HIGH.

Here are some other stats from the study:

1.  40% parents "always" or "often" struggle keeping their kids entertained, and 35% of parents say they can feel "stressed" finding new ideas for their kids.

2.  The average kid reportedly spends 13 hours in front of a screen per week.  That breaks down to about 1 hour and 51 minutes per day.

3.  81% of parents say their children prefer hands-on activities away from the screen . . . like arts and crafts, playing outside, reading books, "sensory play," and playing games with siblings and friends.

A man on TikTok has a hotel hack for you:  Don't leave your toothbrush out . . . if you don't want the staff using YOUR toothbrush to clean the bathrooms.

A man named Lavell Jackson says that he recently stayed at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, and the staff used his toothbrush to clean the bathroom.

How did he know?  He says, "As soon as it hit my mouth, I yanked it out.  The brushes were just crazy soft.  All outside brushes were pushed out, and the inside brushes were all over the place . . . it was very obvious."

He says he complained, and the hotel was "nasty" to him about it . . . ultimately they offered him a $50 credit, and a new toothbrush.

He considers that a slap in the face.

The video has gone viral . . . and in the comments, many people say they HIDE their toothbrush at hotels, or they don't have the staff come in to clean their rooms during their stay.

There's no comment from Mandalay Bay or their parent company, MGM Resorts International.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - American tax dollars mostly go to social services:  Social Security, Medicare, health, income security, veterans benefits, and education.  That accounts for 66% of federal spending . . . in roughly that order.

An estimated 13% will go toward defense spending . . . another 13% will re-pay net interest on government debt . . . and 10% will fund other functions, including agriculture, energy, and transportation.
