Did you get your taxes done yet? Today’s the day!
A poll taken on Friday found two-thirds of Americans had already filed, or don't need to this year. Everyone else still had their calculator out.
16% were still working on them . . . another 9% hadn't started yet . . . and 9% more said they weren't sure if their taxes were done yet.
People in their 20s were the most likely to say they hadn't done them yet . . . because of course.
Around half of people said they find tax season stressful, while half don't think it's that bad. But one thing everyone agrees on is they don't want to pay MORE.
Only 3% of Americans think they pay less than their fair share in taxes. 30% said more than their fair share.

Did you hit a bar this weekend that was so loud, you could barely hear your friends talk? Here's something that might help next time . . .
A new study found a simple trick can help you hear better when there's a lot of background noise. Try tapping your finger.
Researchers in France tested people's hearing by having them listen to someone talk, but made it harder by adding background noise.
For some reason, they could pick out more words in each sentence when they tapped their finger. It worked if they tapped along to a beat, or in a rhythm at their own pace.
They think it just comes down to how our brains are wired. The part that controls fine motor functions is somehow intertwined with the part that controls hearing.
They say tapping or moving to a melody can help your brain tune out all that background noise. So the next time you can't hear because the music is too loud, try tapping your foot to it and see if it helps.

Out of all the reasons to be fired from a job, how would you rate getting the boot for spoiling a movie ending? That's what happened to Bill Hader when he was working at a movie theater.
He ruined the ending of "Titanic" for a bunch of sorority girls who bought out the theater.
Quote, "'Titanic' hadn't come out yet . . . and they were in the doorway, and I was going, 'Hey, guys. Can you guys move?' They were making fun of me. They said I looked like Charles Manson, which I kinda did.
"I had a little bowtie on and cummerbund, and I was like, 'Hey guys, please move.' And they were like, 'No.' So when they went in, as I tore the tickets, I was like, 'Enjoy the movie. The boat sinks at the end. Leo dies.'
And they were like, 'No, he doesn't.' I go, 'Yeah, you think he's asleep. But he's frozen.' And that showed them."
Bill got fired on the spot. (now he's making movies)

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - Ancient 1,900-year-old scrolls have revealed that Imperial Rome did NOT mess around with tax cheats. If you committed tax fraud, you could be sentenced to public execution, where you'd be "eaten alive by leopards."
