Taylor Hawkins, the long-time drummer for the mega-platinum Foo Fighters, has died. He was 50.
Hawkins' death was confirmed by the band in an online post late Friday night. It did not release a cause, but called his passing a "tragic and untimely loss."
"His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever," the statement read. "Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time."
With his frenzied, frenetic energy — he didn't play the drums so much as pounded them — Hawkins was the perfect complement to singer and guitarist Dave Grohl.
"Part Beavis and Butthead, part Dumb and Dumber, we were a hyperactive blur of Parliament Lights and air drumming wherever we went," the frontman wrote in his 2021 autobiography, The Storyteller: Tales of Life and Music. In the book, Grohl called Hawkins his "best friend and partner in crime."

Bridgerton season two started Friday, (which you are probably binging this weekend) and when it originally came out in 2020, no expected it to become the blockbuster that it did. To cash in on the excitement, Hasbro has released a new Bridgerton edition of the classic family strategy board game Monopoly that’s now exclusively available at Target for $26.
The Bridgerton edition of Monopoly features artwork and details from the show’s first season and allows players to use themed tokens, including a bee, a journal, a top hat, a lover’s eye necklace, a pocket watch, or one of Queen Charlotte’s Pomeranians. Like the regular edition of the game, you’ll still have to buy up as many properties as possible; however, this version features familiar locations around London from the show, such as White’s Gentlemen’s Club, Gunther’s Tea Shop, and Clyvedon Castle. Instead of building homes and hotels on your properties, you’ll be creating pavilions and estates as your residences.
As you move around the board, you can also get "the Ton" (slang for British high society during the Regency era) cards that’ll send you to a party or a private tea. You can also claim Lady Whistledown cards, which will reveal a scandal. Instead of dollar bills or pound notes, earn as many copper pennies and silver shillings as possible to win the game.

Results for the 42nd Razzie Awards are in — and if you had anything to do with “Diana: The Musical,” you might want to go back to bed.
The big, fat Broadway bomb about the Princess of Wales beamed into your living room courtesy of Netflix was this year’s big Razzie “winner,” taking home five of what the group calls its “un-coveted … tacky, gold-spray-painted statuettes.”
The streaming version of the stage musical bagged Worst Picture, Worst Actress (Jeanna de Waal), Worst Supporting Actress (Judy Kaye, who actually played two roles), Worst Director (Christopher Ashley) and Worst Screenplay (script by Joe DiPietro, music and lyrics by DiPietro and David Bryan).
Faring almost as miserably was “Space Jam: A New Legacy,” with slam dunks for Worst Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel; Worst Actor (LeBron James); and Worst Screen Couple (James and “Any Warner Cartoon Character or WarnerMedia Product He Dribbles On).”
