The brackets are set, the "bid-stealers" have made their mark, and the first few tickets to the Round of 64 have already been punched.

Duke enters as the No. 1 overall seed, followed by Arizona, Michigan, and reigning champion Florida.

After winning the title in 2025, the Gators are attempting to become the first back-to-back champions since UConn (2023-24) and their own legendary run in 2006-07.

The first tournament featured only eight teams in 1939. The University of Oregon defeated Ohio State 46–33 to win the inaugural title.

1975: The field expanded to 32 teams and allowed more than one team per conference.

1985: The "Modern Era" began with the expansion to 64 teams.

2011: The "First Four" was introduced, bringing the field to its current 68-team format.

The odds of filling out a perfect bracket by purely guessing are roughly 1 in 9.2 quintillion. Even with basketball knowledge, the odds are estimated at 1 in 120 billion.

New spring trend reports show a 415% surge in "My Room, My Rules" decorating. Gen Z and Millennials are ditching minimalist white for "moody blue," "vintage pink,"

Even kitchen cabinets are getting a splash of paint, with searches surging  for aesthetics like "Aubergine kitchen". Vintage-meets-modern kitchens are also on the rise, with “grandma core kitchen”and “dark cottagecore kitchen”, as people lean into comfort, character and a little nostalgia at the center of the home.

The smallest spaces are getting their moment this spring too. Searches for “comfy reading chair small spaces” and “closet reading nook for adults” are on the rise as people crave a cozy escape. And whether it’s a sunny window seat or a secret corner, these snug retreats prove that comfort can fit anywhere this season.

It’s all about character and nostalgia over "Instagram-perfect" perfectionism.

Big news for Browncoats: The cult classic Firefly, which ran for 14 episodes in 2002, is reportedly getting a new animated series featuring the original cast. Nathan Fillion has teased this for a week...and yes..turns out it's an animated show. But that's alright since most of the actors are busy with other shows, and one has died.

It will most likely be stories between the end of the show and the movie Serenity since Alan Tudyk shockingly didn't make it through that movie. (sorry spoilers)

In a move sparking a massive debate over AI in Hollywood, it was announced today that an AI-rendered Val Kilmer will posthumously appear in a new feature film. Following the success of his "voice" recreation in Top Gun: Maverick, this project pushes the boundaries of "digital necromancy," leaving fans split on whether it's a beautiful tribute or a step too far for the industry.

Say no to this for many reasons!!!!

Did you know that bananas are radioactive? They contain Potassium-40. However, you would have to eat roughly 10,000,000 bananas at once to die of radiation poisoning (though you would likely die of "being too full" long before the radiation got you).

Bonus Fact - Botanically speaking, a strawberry is not a berry, but a banana, a watermelon, and a pumpkin all are. To be a "true berry," a fruit must come from a single ovary with multiple seeds—strawberries have their seeds on the outside, so they are classified as "aggregate fruits."

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - Since March Madness starts today, there are brackets at betting places and in the office. Let's talk legalized gambling!

1931, the state of Nevada officially legalized gambling.

The state didn't do this because they loved poker; they did it out of desperation during the Great Depression. At the time, Las Vegas was just a small railroad town with fewer than 6,000 residents.

The very first gambling license was issued to the Northern Club on Fremont Street. It wasn't until 15 years later, in 1946, that Bugsy Siegel opened the Flamingo, turning the "dusty outpost" into a destination for the glamorous.
