I thoroughly enjoyed the Grammy’s last night. Awesome performances and entertaining. Beyonce wins Country Album of the Year!!! There’s a shocker.

Chappel Roan gets Best New Artist in a chock-full of talent category.

Record of the Year and Song of the Year to “Not Like Us” by Kendrick Lamar. (you’ll see him next week at the Super Bowl.)

Album of the Year goes to Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter. (still kind of shocked)

All the Grammy news can be found here. If you missed them watch the performances.

The world-famous prognosticating groundhog Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow when he emerged from his den in western Pennsylvania early Sunday, meaning six more weeks of winter, according to the beloved and age-old 132-year-old folklore.

This time he did it as a father. In March 2024, Phil and his groundhog wife Phyliss gave birth to two healthy babies, who were later named Sunny and Shadow.

We will take note that he has only accurately predicted the change in seasons about 35% of the time over the past 20 years, according to an NOAA study.

The top two predictors also made their announcements,

Staten Island Chuck who has a better record didn't see his shadow predicting an early spring.

Georgia, General Beauregard Lee has made his call: Six more weeks of winter is on the way.

A new poll asked people:  "Would you prefer:  A.)  Extra love . . . B.)  Extra money . . . or C.)  Extra time?"

46% voted for extra MONEY.

29% voted for extra TIME.

24% voted for extra LOVE.

In the comments, someone said, "Extra money can buy extra love and time." Which is basically the classic "money can buy happiness" argument.

Someone else pointed out, "Extra time can get you money and love too."  And another person added, "Extra love can buy the other two things as well . . . if you are immoral enough."

Today’s Useless Fact of the Day - Squirrels hibernate so hard you could juggle them without waking them up.  You SHOULDN'T juggle squirrels, but you could. (I don’t think they hibernate..it’s got to be a lie..I have three or four on my porch attacking the bird feeder every day!)
