1996 Sneaker Pimps released their debut album Becoming X. Interesting note, the album marked the only appearance of Kelli Dayton as lead singer before she was asked to leave the band.
"6 Underground" (#45 #7 Alternative Airplay) and "Spin Spin Sugar" (#87 #2 Dance) were singles. The album version is way different than the dance hit that was a mix by Armand Van Helden. It's a speed garage version, which is said to be the song that broke the sound into the mainstream.
This is still one of the best dance songs I've ever heard!
