1993 - Ten Summoner's Tales - Sting

30 Years Ago - 1993 Sting released his fourth album Ten Summoner's Tales.

It's a combined pun between his last name Sumner and a character in Geoffrey Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales, the summoner.

The album featured three singles, the first "It's Probably Me" was frist released from the soundtrack of Lethal Weapon 3. It charted #47 AC and #20 Mainstream Rock.

"If I Ever Lose My Faith in You" made #17 (#8 AC #4 Alternative Airplay, #6 Mainstream Rock and #4 Mainstream Top 40.) The song won Sting a Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, while it was also nominated for both Record of the Year and for Song of the Year.

The next US single "Fields of Gold" peaked at #23 (#2AC #12 Alternative Airplay.)
