30 Years Ago - 1993 UB40 released their tenth album Promises and Lies.
The album featured a cover of the Elvis song "(I Can't Help) Falling in Love with You" which was also in the movie Sliver. It was a #1 smash on both the Hot 100 and Mainstream Top 40 charts. (#11 AC and Modern Rock, #5 Rhythmic)
The follow-up "Higher Ground" made #45, #16 Mainstream Top 40, and #14 Alternative Airplay.
