1992 Arrested Development released their debut album 3 Years, 5 Months and 2 Days in the Life Of... . The album's title refers to the length of time it took Arrested Development to get a record contract. The album was a major influence on Southern Rap. First single "Tennessee" won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group. It made #6 on the Hot 100 and #1 Rap and R&B/Hip Hop (#34 Dance Club #16 Dance Sales.)
