1991 Bryan Adams released his sixth album Waking Up the Neighbours. The albums first single release "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You" spent seven weeks at #1, and won a Grammy Award for Best Song Written Specifically for a Motion Picture or Television (Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves) at the 1992 Grammy Awards, and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song of 1991. Follow-ups were "Can't Stop This Thing We Started" (#2), "There Will Never Be Another Tonight" (#31), "Thought I'd Died and Gone to Heaven" (#13), and "Do I Have to Say the Words?" (#11.)
The album was produced by Robert "Mutt" Lang.
