35 Years Ago - 1990 the compilation album Red Hot + Blue was released. It consisted of songs from Cole Porter reinterpreted by contemporary pop performers.

It was the first for the Red Hot Organization and benefited the group ACT Up, and was the first major AIDS benefit in the music business. There was a TV special as well.
No singles were released in the US, but,
"Night + Day" by U2 made #3 on the Alternative Airplay chart.
"Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" by Thompson Twins was a regional hit in San Francisco.
