1986 Eddie Money released his sixth album Can't Hold Back. "Take Me Home Tonight" made #4 Hot 100 and #1 Mainstream Rock. Featuring Ronnie Spector of the Ronettes' singing the "Be My Little Baby" part in the chorus. It almost was Martha Davis from the Motels, but she convinced Eddie to contact Ronnie.

The follow-up singles were "I Wanna Go Back" that made #14 and #3 Rock, and "Endless Nights" (#21 #10 Rock), and "We Should Be Sleeping" (#90 #18 Rock.)
