1985 - Picture Book/1995 - Life - Simply Red

40 Years Ago - 1985 Simply Red released their debut album Picture Book.

"Money's Too Tight (to Mention)" is a remake of the Valentine Brothers song and made #28, #2 Club.

"Come to My Aid" did not chart in the US, and neither did "Holding Back the Years" until it was re-released a year later and made #1, #4 AC, #29 R&B.

30 Years Ago - 1995 Simply Red released their fifth album Life.

"Fairground" was the only song to appear on a chart in the US. It made #25 Club.

It sampled the 1993 Goodmen's hit "Give It Up."

The album also featured "We're in This Together" which was the official song for the UEFA Euro 1996 (soccer tournament) that was held in England.
