40 Years Ago - 1985 The genius Weird "Al" Yankovic released his third album Dare to Be Stupid.
Produced by the recently passed Rick Derringer,it featured parodies of Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Huey Lewis, and the Kinks.
Also, pastiches of Devo and Elvis. It also included "Hooked on Polkas", and spoofs on Doo-wop, and Sci-fi Soundtracks.
"Like a Surgeon" a parody of Madonna's "Like a Virgin" was the only charting single making #47.
Also, there's a brilliant video in the style of Devo for the title track.
