40 Years Ago - 1984 Bananarama released their second self-titled album.

Three singles were released in the US.

"Cruel Summer" was the first single and also was featured on The Karate Kid soundtrack. It made #9 on the Hot 100, #44 AC and #11 Club.

"Robert De Niro's Waiting..." made #95.

"The Wild Life" peaked at #70.
