1983 - She's So Unusual - Cyndi Lauper

40 Years Ago - 1983 Cyndi Lauper released her debut album She's So Unusual.

Six singles were released and Lauper was the first female singer to have four top five singles on the Hot 100 from one album.

She won Best New Artist and Best Album Package at the Grammys.

"Girls Just Want to Have Fun" peaked at #2, #1 Club, #80 R&B

"Time After Time" was her first #1 on the Hot 100 and AC chart (#10 Mainstream Rock, #78 R&B)

"She Bop" which made the list of the PARC's Filthy Fifteen songs, peaked at #3, #10 Club, #27 Mainstream Rock

"All Through the Night" peaked at #5, #4 AC, #38 Mainstream Rock

"Money Changes Everything" made #27 and #37 Mainstream Rock

"When You Were Mine" is a song written by Prince and was only a promotional single in America so there was no chart action.
