45 Years Ago - 1981 Quincy Jones released his album The Dude.

The album was nominated for twelve Grammys. It won three. 

Best Instrumental Arrangement; Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal; and Best Instrumental Arrangement (Accompanying Vocalists).

It also earned James Ingram three nominations with a win in Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for "One Hundred Ways." which peaked at #14, #10 R&B, #5 AC.

"Ai No Corrida" was the first single making #28, #10 R&B, #5 Club.

"Just Once" sung by James Ingram peaked at #17, #11 R&B, #7 AC.

"Razzamatazz" with Patti Austin made #17 R&B.
