1981 Donnie Iris released his second album King Cool. Sweet Merilee was the first single (#80), "Love Is Like a Rock" (#37 #9 Mainstream Rock), and "My Girl" (#25.) Strikes me funny that "My Girl" was a bigger hit. "Love Is.." was a bigger hit in my world. He came to Mount Union for a concert back in the early 80s. He was an Akron boy.
