1980 - Bad Reputation - Joan Jett

45 Years Ago - 1980 Joan Jett released her debut solo album Bad Reputation.

Originally self-titled and released May 1980, it was re-released on Boardwalk Records and re-named Bad Reputation in January 1981. Jett said that the new title referred to the bad reputation that she had as a former member of The Runaways.

The album features many cover versions.

"You Don't Own Me" was the first single release backed by "I Love Rock 'n' Roll which would top the charts in 1981. "I Love..." went #1 Hot 100 and Mainstream Rock and #31 Club.

"Bad Reputation" made #48 Mainstream Rock.

"Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah!)" reached #20 and #21 Mainstream Rock.
