1979 - One Step Beyond - Madness/ 1989 - Enjoy Yourself - Kylie Minogue/ 1999 - Steptacular - Steps

Today is all for the UK charts!!! Because it seems America doesn’t like Brit Pop.

45 Years Ago - 1979 Madness released their debut album One Step Beyond...

Oh..more SKA than Brit-Pop.

"Our House" was a massive success in 1983 for Madness, but besides that, you might have seen them on The Young Ones when it aired on MTV.

"The Prince" made #16 UK.

"One Step Beyond" peaked at #7 UK..oh wait..it made #76 Club in the US.

"My Girl" peaked at #3 UK.

"Night Boat to Cairo" was a UK #6 single.

Because America hates Kylie Minogue (or it seems so)

35 Years Ago - 1989 Kylie Minogue released her second album Enjoy Yourself.

She reunited with Stock Aitken Waterman who produced her first album.

It failed to find an audience in America and Geffen dropped her as an act.

"Hand on Your Heart" it was a #1 UK and UK Dance hit.

"Wouldn't Change a Thing" made #2 and #7 Dance UK.

"Never Too Late" UK #4 and #23 Dance.

"Tears on My Pillow" UK #1 and #38 Dance.

From the US missed out category. This is pure cheesy joy!

25 Years Ago - 1999 Steps released their second album Steptacular.

One of the fun things with this group is they were doing TikTok dance moves to imitate before it was even thought of!.

"Tragedy" was released after their first album on the Bee Gees tribute album. It was a #1 Smash in the UK.

"Love's Got a Hold on My Heart" made #2 UK.

"After the Love Has Gone" peaked at #5 UK.

"Say You'll Be Mine" peaked at #4 UK.

"Deeper Shade of Blue" made it's debut at #4 but never went any higher ..you guessed it UK.

"When I Said Goodbye/Summer of Love" Double A-side with the second an unreleased track that would show up on their third album. It, they..something peaked at #5...UK.
