45 Years Ago - 1978 Van Halen released their debut self-titled album.

Interesting to note that Gene Simmons financed their demo album. There are so many classic songs you'd be surprised that there were only two charting singles.

"You Really Got Me" a Kinks cover made #36, and "Runnin' with the Devil" made #84.
