45 Years Ago - 1978 Cheryl Lynn released her self-titled debut album.

(maybe..wiki has it in the july list but it says october...whatever, i’m sticking with it today)

It featured the Disco hit "Got to Be Real" which peaked at #12, #1 R&B, and #11 Club.

Interesting note, Ray Parker, Jr. played guitar and Toto member David Paich played keyboards on the track.

"Star Love" was the follow-up making #9 R&B and #20 Hot 100.
