1977 - The Stranger - Billy Joel

45 Years Ago - 1977 Billy Joel released his fifth album The Stranger.

It was the first to be produced by Phil Ramone. It is considered Joel's critical and commercial breakthrough and won two awards at the 1978 Grammy Awards: Record of the Year and Song of the Year for "Just the Way You Are." It was the first single and made #3 on the Hot 100 and #1 on the Adult Contemporary chart.

Other singles were "Movin' Out (Anthony's Song)" (#17 #40 AC), "Only the Good Die Young" (#24), and "She's Always a Woman" (#17 #2 AC.)

I'm a huge Billy Joel fan and I wore this album out!
