45 Years Ago - 1977 Linda Ronstadt released her eighth album Simple Dreams.
The album featured some classics, the Roy Orbison remake with Don Henley singing backup "Blue Bayou" (#3 #2 Country #3 AC), the Buddy Holly remake "It's So Easy" (#5 #37 AC #81 Country), "Poor Poor Pitiful Me" written by Warren Zevon (#31 #27 AC #46 Country), and the Rolling Stones "Tumbling Dice" (#32 #30 AC) featured in the movie FM.
She also was the first female artist—and the first act overall since The Beatles—to have two singles in the top five at the same time with "Blue...." and "It's So..."
