A city council in Bend Oregon has asked people to stop sticking plastic googly eyes onto sculptures around the city.
The googly eyes appeared on a number of artworks around the city including a statue of two deer and a metal sphere.
In a post on social media, the council asked whoever was responsible to cut it out.
They say "While the googly eyes placed on the various art pieces around town might give you a chuckle, it costs money to remove them with care to not damage the art."
The council also said that in the past other decorations like Santa hats and wreaths have been added but that this was different.
"While we don't condone the wreaths... and Santa hats, let's stay away from adhesives, graffiti and all things that can damage the art" it said on it's social post.
