Today's Useless Fact of the Day - Ripe cranberries bounce like rubber balls. They have tiny air pockets inside that allow them to float and bounce around. This is why they grow in bogs and they flood them and harvest the floating berries.
Wisconsin is the top cranberry-producing state and agricultural groups there say, "For it to be considered ripe, it must bounce one foot off the ground."
