This Sunday morning at 2am, we fall back to Daylight Saving Time. (no s please)
Our bodies run by an internal clock, not a manmade clock, so even a modest time adjustment can take some getting used to, especially when the days feel shorter and darker as cold weather arrives.
The time change can affect sleeping and waking patterns for 5 to 7 days.
The Old Farmer's Almanac has some tips to help with the change.
-Go to bed and get up at the same time. (Plan ahead, try shifting about 15 to 20 minutes each night. It makes for a gradual shift.
-Practice Good Habits Before Bedtime. Watch caffeine, alcohol, and exercise. Be careful of your exposure to screens.
-Keep your dinnertime consistent. Eat more protein and fewer carbs. Again, shift your time so it's gradual (might work for pets too)
-Get More Light - Go outside for morning sunshine.
-Take a short Catnap - no more than 20 minutes.

A bunch of sites claim aliens could make first contact today. They're basing it on the fact that an interstellar comet zipping past us will hit its closest point to the sun today. Some people think it's an ALIEN MOTHERSHIP. But the actual chances are slim to none.
The comet's been behind the sun for a few weeks, and we won't be able to see it again for a month or more. So even if it does change course, we probably won't know for a while.
Fans of the theory think there's a chance the ship already released probes, and they're on their way here. But really, there's no reason to think today is any more likely than tomorrow, or any other day.

There's a new record for the world's heaviest pumpkin.
Two British twin brothers have been growing giant pumpkins for over 50 years, and they've finally scored a world record after they harvested one that weighed 2,819 pounds, and 4 ounces.
It's also the largest pumpkin by circumference at 255.8 inches. That's over 21 feet.

Booger Candy is the new thing! It isn't made with REAL boogers; it just looks like boogers, with varying shapes and shades of brown, green, and yellow.

They say, "In honor of cold and flu season, we're giving you a whole new, less gross way to eat your boogers. Introducing 'Boogie Bites,' the treat kids have picked for generations."
You won't be seeing them stuck to the racks in your neighborhood convenience stores yet. For now, they're exclusively available at GoPuff.com for $3.99.
If you're wondering, they supposedly taste "slightly sweet, a little salty and packed with Vitamin C."

The language app Speak says, quote, "It's our biggest spike in U.S. downloads driven by a cultural event, with many users writing 'understanding Bad Bunny' as a reason they are interested in learning Spanish."
A Bad Bunny fan named Niklaus Miller has become TikTok famous in his quest to learn Spanish in time for the game in February. He's also learning Bad Bunny's lyrics so that he can sing along in Spanish fluently.
But he says, quote, "I really thought, 'Oh, I can totally do this, how hard can it be?' Turns out, very hard. Even fluent Spanish speakers tell me they struggle with Bad Bunny's lyrics. But I’m loving the challenge."

Today’s Useless Fact of the Day - Of all the circulating U.S. currency in the world, about 80% is in $100 bills. (nearly 80% of $100s are overseas as well)
Must be true since I haven't seen a $100 bill in ages.
