Almanac.com has a fun article called What Candy Are You, Based On Your Zodiac Sign?

In the United States, Halloween is the biggest of the big when it comes to candy! Over 25% of the candy industry’s revenue is made during Halloween.

Which candy bar is the perfect match for your zodiac sign? Remember: This isn’t necessarily your favorite candy bar. And, even more important than the candy bar is what your profile tells a lot about you.

Mine is pretty spot on!

Scorpio: Mysterious Scorpio has a lot going on underneath the surface. It’s hard to read them, but they don’t mind. They prefer keeping you in the dark. Scorpios like something rich and luxurious, so Milky Way Dark is their secret obsession. It’s rich, silky, and a bit decadent. Just like them.

Can you eat your jack-o-lantern?

According to food safety experts . . . NO. You can use a pumpkin as a cooking ingredient or as a decoration, but not both.

Pumpkins are a low-acid vegetable, so once they're cut and sit at room temperature, pathogens will grow rapidly on the skin.

We're also not usually following proper food-handling procedures when we're carving pumpkins . . . stuff like washing hands before carving, washing the pumpkin, carving them on clean surfaces, and using clean tools.

The bigger carving pumpkins aren't ideal for eating, since they usually don't have the best flavor or texture.

One thing you CAN do after carving a pumpkin is save the seeds and roast them. Pumpkin seeds can be eaten if the seeds are removed while carving and immediately washed and roasted, or refrigerated before roasting.

According to a new poll, 63% of adults say they are NOT dressing up this year, which is almost 2-in-3 . . . and another 14% haven't decided if they're going to.

22% say they WILL be in costume this Halloween. Most of them are younger adults. Only 5% of folks 65 and older are into it this year . . . and a whopping 88% of Boomers say they're definitely not dressing up.

Some say they're re-using an old costume . . . and others say it's "too soon to say" what they're going to do.

If you're a member of the actors' union, you'd better think twice about your Halloween costume this year.

Because SAG-AFTRA is prohibiting members from dressing up as characters from "struck content," and posting images on social media. And that includes some of this year's hottest costumes, like Barbie and Wednesday Addams.

The union asked members to, quote, "choose costumes inspired by generalized characters and figures: ghost, zombie, spider, etc."

Ryan Reynolds Tweeted, quote, "I look forward to screaming 'scab' at my 8-year-old all night. She's not in the union but she needs to learn."

Watertown New York is in the news because it suffered a water main break yesterday morning, which left the town without ......water as well as other towns around Watertown that rely on their water. Around 25,000 people are affected.

Crews worked non-stop to repair the water main, and it WAS successful . . . but late last night, the mayor said that it could be a week until they're able to restore drinkable water.

Gwen Stefani received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday, after over 30 years of making music as a member of No Doubt and as a solo artist.

Record exec Jimmy Iovine, music pioneer Irving Azoff, and her husband Blake Shelton spoke in her honor.

When it was Gwen's turn at the podium, she said, quote, "Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think, this girl right here from Orange County, would have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It just doesn't make sense to me . . .

"If I didn't have 'The Voice' and I didn't have Irving I wouldn't have met my best friend, my husband Blake. I love you so much. You have given me the kind of love I never knew before. The minute I met you I knew I was home."
