Are we this stupid???

McDonald’s says a federal class-action lawsuit claiming it misled millions by marketing the McRib as real pork rib “distorts the facts.”

The 45-page complaint, filed on December 23, 2025, takes issue with the product’s name and presentation, notably the term “McRib” and its rib-shaped patty, which they say would lead a reasonable consumer to believe the sandwich includes real rib meat when there is none.

According to the complaint, the McRib is actually made from restructured pork, which combines cuts such as shoulder, heart, tripe, and scalded stomach, none of which qualify as rib meat. (wish you didn't open that can of worms now, don't you?)

A McDonald’s spokesperson told The Independent that the McRib uses 100 percent boneless pork with BBQ sauce, onions, and pickles.

It has "ribs" that are not ribs and edible....come on people!

It's making a comeback!!!

A hiker in Utah's Arches National Park was rescued unharmed last month after becoming mired in quicksand. It's a rare real-life occurrence of a childhood movie trope, reminding hikers that "wash" areas can be deceptively dangerous after recent rains.

The Grand County Search and Rescue team came to the rescue and positioned the ladder and boards near the backpacker and slowly worked his leg loose. By then he’d been standing in near-freezing muck, in temperatures in the 20s for a couple of hours.

Rescuers warmed him up until he could stand, then walk. He then hiked out on his own, even carrying his backpack, Marshall said.

A major global consumer report released today finds that 7 in 10 shoppers are now ready to switch brands specifically over "shrinkflation" (reducing product size while keeping the price the same). Consumers are stating they prefer an honest price increase over a "sneaky" smaller box.

Despite financial pressure, the same report shows that people are still buying "small indulgences"—like high-end coffee or luxury snacks—to cope with stress. It’s being called the "Lipstick Effect" of 2026, where we cut big spending but keep the little treats.

A young boy named Wilder McGraw is being celebrated today for becoming one of the youngest people to travel to all seven continents by the age of seven. His parents say the goal was to teach him "global empathy" through firsthand experience. I've been to two.

Almost all the states. Lacking the West and the Southwest.

Need more Stranger Things?? Netflix announces "Stranger Things" behind-the-scenes documentary, airing Jan. 12.

Today’s Useless Fact of the Day - On January 7, 1927, the first transatlantic commercial telephone service was established between New York and London.

A three-minute call cost about $45, which is roughly $800 in today’s money. For that price, you really had to make sure you had something important to say.
