Today in Music History - 1975 The American vocal group Manhattan Transfer debuted their summer variety show that lasted for 4 weeks. In 1981, they released their sixth album, Mecca for Moderns witch featured their biggest hit "Boy From New York City," which won them a Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals. It peaked at #7 I am still obsessed with this album.
