1984 - Tina Turner completes her comeback as "What's Love Got To Do With It" hits #1 in America.
It came from, at the time, the 44 year old singer's fifth album Private Dancer.
It was the second biggest song of the year behind Prince's "When Doves Cry."
It received three awards at the 27th Annual Grammy Awards: Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
Trivia: It was originally offered to Cliff Richard, but he rejected it.
