Today in Music History 1978 we were in the grip of GreaseMania!
It hit the box office in June 21st, and hit #1 it's second week on June 28th and was #1 till July 20th. (Star Wars was rereleased and hit #1 again but Grease still performed well.)
The soundtrack was a smash as well, giving us four top 5s and 2 #1s, including the one that hit #1 today in 1978. Frankie Valli and the title track "Grease."
The Bee Gees still flying high from Saturday Night Fever touched gold again with Barry writing a new song not in the stage musical.
