The day is observed on September 7th, because it was on that day in 1914 that New York City opened its new main post office, which has those words inscribed on it.

New research by Lysol has identified the 10 "germiest hotspots" in the office . . . and they're broken down by location.

They are:

In the entrance areas: The elevator buttons.

In the communal kitchen: The coffee machine handles AND buttons . . . the refrigerator door . . . the kitchen sink handles . . . and vending machines.

In the workspace: Keyboards and mice . . . telephones . . . and shared printers.

In the conference room: The TV remote control.

And in the bathroom: The door handles.

Aren’t you glad to be back in the office????

Yesterday morning Boris Johnson meet with Queen Elizabeth II to formally offer his resignation. Liz Truss will take over the 47-year-old, the UK's third woman PM, will then appoint her cabinet.

In her victory speech, Ms. Truss promised a "bold" program of tax cuts to grow the flagging economy and to prevent the UK tipping into recession.

She will officially take the reins of power on Tuesday, bringing Mr. Johnson's turbulent premiership to an end less than three years after the Conservatives' resounding election victory in 2019.

Justin Bieber has been forced to suspend the rest of his world tour after suffering a health setback.

The 28-year-old pop star announced in a Tuesday post on his Instagram story that he has dealt with exhaustion while trying to get back on tour, and that the effort “took a real toll on me.”

“I realized that I need to make my health the priority right now,” he wrote. “So I’m going to take a break from touring for the time being.”

Earlier in the summer, Bieber postponed a series of concerts in New York City, Washington, D.C. and Toronto and revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a rare neurological condition. The singer shared a video showing how the virus had paralyzed half of his face.

“It’s from this virus that attacks the nerve in my ear and my facial nerves and has caused my face to have paralysis,” he said at the time. “As you can see, this eye is not blinking. I can’t smile on this side of my face. This nostril will not move.”

Want to reduce your risk for dementia? Slap on a step counter and start tallying your steps -- you'll need between 3,800 and 9,800 each day to reduce your risk of mental decline, according to a new study.

People between the ages of 40 and 79 who took 9,826 steps per day were 50% less likely to develop dementia within seven years, the study found. Furthermore, people who walked with "purpose" -- at a pace over 40 steps a minute -- were able to cut their risk of dementia by 57% with just 6,315 steps a day.

"It is a brisk walking activity, like a power walk," said study coauthor Borja del Pozo Cruz, an adjunct associate professor at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense, Denmark, and senior researcher in health sciences for the University of Cadiz in Spain.

Even people who walked approximately 3,800 steps a day at any speed cut their risk of dementia by 25%, the study found.

How quickly do you react to your vehicle's warning light??

A new poll surveyed adults 40 years old and younger . . . and found that it takes an average of EIGHT warning lights for them to take their car to a mechanic.

The poll also asked when people decide to move on and get a new vehicle . . . and the top response, with 39% of the vote, was: When the upkeep gets too expensive.

That was just ahead of "strange sounds or odors."

Others switch vehicles when too many parts have to be replaced . . . and "when too much of it is being held together by tape." But about one-in-three people say they plan to drive their current vehicle until smoke comes out of it.
