Celebrate National Coffee, VFW, and Women's Health & Fitness Day.
Many legendary accounts tell how coffee first came to be. However, the earliest credible evidence of either coffee drinking or the knowledge of the coffee tree appears in the middle of the 15th century in the Sufi monasteries around Mokha in Yemen.
Here, monks first roasted coffee seeds and brewed coffee, much like we prepare them today. Yemeni traders brought coffee back to their homeland from Ethiopia and began to cultivate the seed.

What are the most popular things on Netflix? Their metrics work for how many viewers watched at least two minutes of a show or movie in its first four weeks of release, and total time spent watching a show or movie. Season 1 of Bridgerton was the most-watched show on both metrics, while Chris Hemsworth’s Extraction and Sandra Bullock’s Bird Box were the most-watched movies. Also the South Korean hit Squid Game is on track to be Netflix’s most popular show ever. It portrays a Hunger Games-esque competition where contestants compete in highly dangerous events for the opportunity to win more than $40 million in prizes.

A new star investor is turning heads in the world of crypto. Mr. Goxx's portfolio is up about 20% since he started trading in June, outperforming Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway, bitcoin, and the S&P 500.
Thing is, Mr. Goxx is doing all this with, as the The Morning Brew Newsletter crew say, a brain about the size of an Altoid. Because he’s a hamster.
Mr. Goxx works out of a high-tech office in Germany and makes his picks by running on a wheel, which selects a particular crypto, then running through one of two tunnels, which decides whether the asset is bought or sold.
Crypto-picking hamsters are a new addition to a long-standing theory that random chance is as reliable an investment strategy as any expert’s picks. In his 1973 book A Random Walk Down Wall Street, economist Burton Malkiel wrote, “A blindfolded monkey throwing darts...could select a portfolio that would do just as well as one carefully selected by experts.”
The theory was tested in 2018 by Wall Street Journal writers who made stock selections by throwing darts at a board. After a year, the dartboard selections beat the pros by 27%.

The new James Bond Movie "No Time to Die" opens October 8th. Techradar.com ranks the seven actors that have played James.
And surprise surprise! Pierce Brosnan is #1. Remember he was considered after Sean Connery but due to Reminton Steele he couldn't do it.
#2 is Original Bong Sean Connery.
#3 is Daniel Craig. He gave the film franchise the gritty reset it needed after Die Another Day – and over time, his version warmed up and got closer to the Bonds of old as the films brought in Q, gadgets and more humor.
#4 is Roger Moore. His were mostly synonymous with innuendo, silly comedy and preposterous side characters like Jaws and Sheriff John W. Pepper. This is an important era of James Bond as a pop culture figure, though, and Moore's films are raucously entertaining and full of great action when they're at their best.
