Celebrate National Play-Doh, Cinnamon Raisin Bread, Guacamole, Step Family, Working Parents, and Mayflower Day.
Mayflower Day commemorates the day the ship set sail from Plymouth, England in 1620. On September 16 of 1620, the Mayflower set sail from Plymouth, England with 102 souls on board. These colonists- men, women, children, some seeking fortune, some seeking religious freedom – were later known as pilgrims.
The colonists’ intended to land in Virginia. However, after 66 days at sea, storms and winds blew them off course. After spotting modern-day Cape Cod, the members of the Mayflower intended on exploring the mouth of the Hudson River. However, rough seas continued to plague the ship. They turned back and stayed at Cape Cod.
For the next few weeks, the Pilgrims explored Cape Cod and eventually settled on Plymouth for their plantation.

Researchers have found that while levels of subjective wellbeing initially rise as free time increases, the trend does not necessarily hold for very high levels of leisure.
“The sweet spot is a moderate amount of free time,” said Dr Marissa Sharif, a co-author of the study from the University of Pennsylvania. “We found that having too much time was associated with lower subjective wellbeing due to a lacking sense of productivity and purpose.”

2,000 people were polled about which age would you say is the most fun, and the average answer was 24 years old.
That makes sense, because you have plenty of energy, you're finally making money, you can drink, and you probably don't have a ton of obligations yet.
40% of people said the older you get, the harder it is to find time to get together with friends and socialize. And 75% said it's important to plan stuff ahead of time, so you have something to look forward to.

When was the last time you really let your hair down and had some fun? The average answer in a new poll was three weeks ago. And the top things that prevent us from doing it are work, life admin, and our kids.
It also asked people to name the most common ways they kick back and relax. And music dominated the top ten
1. Listening to music.
2. Going out for food.
3. A weekend trip.
4. Comfort food.
5. Celebrating a birthday.
6. Going to a bar.
7. Shopping sprees.
8. Playing "throwback" music. So, old songs you still love.
9. Singing out loud. That's three music-related things in the top ten.
10. Taking a vacation day or sick day.

Cops and firefighters recently responded to a call in St. Augustine Beach, Florida about a 39-year-old woman who was acting strange.
When they showed up on scene, she claimed she needed CPR even though she was fully conscious and running around. So they started walking her to an ambulance, but she broke away and ran off. They decided not to chase her, as there was no crime.
While they were packing up to leave, someone yelled, "She's stealing the truck" and they realized she'd jumped into the driver's seat of a fire engine.
They yanked her out, and asked if she was on anything. And she told them she'd been drinking the, quote, "Elixir of Life" as in a magical potion that makes you immortal. She's facing a felony charge for grand theft auto.

A 41-year-old man in Florida named Mark Fillyaw repeatedly drove up to the cash booths of toll plazas completely naked. Toll workers told state troopers he was "showing his privates." And it happened at least seven times this month.
He was finally nabbed over the weekend, and he was connected to the previous incidents with surveillance footage. It's unclear if he was also naked when he was caught.
