Celebrate National Swap Ideas and TV Dinner Day.
In 1953, C.A. Swanson & Sons changed the prepackaged meal business forever. Introducing the TV Dinner revolutionized frozen food.
In 1962, Swanson stopped using the name TV Dinner. However, in the United States, the term remains synonymous with any prepackaged dinner purchased frozen from a store and heated at home.
The first Swanson TV Dinner consisted of a Thanksgiving meal of turkey, cornbread dressing, peas, and sweet potatoes. Originally, Swansons made the tray of aluminum. They separated each food item into individual compartments, too. At home, the cook heated the dinner in the oven. The cooking time was usually 25 minutes. Today, nearly all frozen food trays can be cooked in the microwave or a conventional oven.

How did I miss this news?? Former "Today" show weatherman Willard Scott died Saturday. He was 87 years old.
He started on "Today" in 1980, and stepped aside in 1996, but continued to appear until his retirement in 2015. He also created and was the first person to portray Ronald McDonald.

Some warm-blooded animals are experiencing shifts in their body shapes, likely as a response to the pressures of climate change, according to a new review of existing research.
Animals are getting larger beaks, legs and ears that allow them to better regulate their body temperatures as the planet gets hotter, with birds particularly affected, said Sara Ryding, a researcher at Deakin University in Australia and one of the authors of the research that published on Tuesday in the journal Trends in Ecology & Evolution.
The biggest shifts in appendage size in the more than 30 animals they looked at in the review were among some Australian parrot species, which saw their beak size increase by 4% to 10% on average since 1871.

Joy o Joy!!!! Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, which was canceled as a series last spring by NBC, will sing on as a Christmas-themed feature film streaming on the Roku Channel this holiday season.

The White House has outlined an ambitious plan to generate nearly half of the country's electricity from solar by 2050.
Solar power currently makes up only 4 percent of the U.S. grid, but the cost to produce and install solar panels has been plummeting and it’s now the cheapest form of energy in some places. (It's about time)
