Full Moon yesterday at 2:32p. which means we will have another..or a blue moon this month on the 30th. It’s a supermoon is a full moon that appears larger and brighter than normal because it is closest to us in orbit.

This moon is referred to as The Sturgeon Moon as the fish in the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain were readily caught at this time.

Other Native American tribes called it the Corn Moon, Ricing Moon, and Black Cherries Moon.

It's heat waves in the news even as we have a little cool down. Staying hydrated is one of the best ways to beat the heat, and fruits and veggies can go a long way in helping with that!

For example, fruits such as apricots, blueberries, oranges, peaches, pineapples, plums, and raspberries contain over eighty percent water. Melons such as cantaloupe and watermelon have some of the highest water content, at more than 90 percent.

1. Watermelon

2. Strawberries

3. Grapefruit

4. Cantaloupe

5. Peaches

Vegetables such as celery, cucumber, iceberg lettuce, tomato and zucchini contain over ninety percent water. Other nutrient-rich vegetables with high water content include broccoli, green cabbage, cauliflower, eggplant, and spinach. Vegetables are also an excellent source of antioxidants, minerals, and fiber.

There's a Reddit section called "Does Anybody Else," where people list weird things they do, and ask if other people do them too. Someone went through and cherry-picked the best ones. Here are a few you've probably done before, but never mentioned . . .

1. When you have to spell the word "Wednesday," do you sound it out in your head as "WED-NES-DAY"?

2. Do you ever come across a distinct smell that takes you back to a vague childhood memory? But you can't put your finger on what it is?

3. Do you ever bump into something and say "ouch" even though it didn't hurt?

4. When you pee and it's totally clear, do you ever feel proud of yourself for being hydrated?

5. Are you ever driving behind the same car for a really long time . . . then they take an exit, and you feel kind of sad they're gone? Like you'd formed a slight bond?

6. When you think a song or movie is amazing. But then you show it to someone else . . . and suddenly feel self-conscious, like it's not really that great. What about sitting in your car till the song finishes?

7. When you flush the toilet but don't get a full flush. So you have to stand there and wait for the tank to refill.

8. When your pet is on your lap and you need to get up, do you ever try to explain it to them? Like, "I have to go get a drink, but don't leave. I'm coming back."

9. Do you ever put on a sock . . . spot a hole in it . . . decide it's the last time you'll wear those socks . . . but then forget, wash them again, and repeat the process?

10. Have you ever spent 30 minutes writing an email that ended up being two sentences?

A new report says that it takes the average person 36 minutes . . . or 29 pages . . . to "get lost in a book."

But even if you aren't a book person now, you could be down the road. 7-in-10 readers say that "book immersion" gets easier with age.

And here's another stat: "More than half of Gen Z'ers . . . and over one-fourth of MEN . . . usually read books in the bathroom." Which we assume means "on the toilet."

Today’s Useless Fact of the Day (Chemung County Fair Edition) - The Chemung County Fair began as a showcase for local agricultural businesses in 1842. Animals and garden products, and tools were a big draw.

The New York State Fair was also held in Elmira seven times — 1855, 1860, 1869, 1872, 1875,1878, and 1883. Eventually, Syracuse became the official home of the state fair.
