The Barbie movie is already the year's most successful box office blockbuster but now it has also etched its way into Warner Bros. history. Greta Gerwig's directorial magnum opus has surpassed Christopher Nolan's iconic 2008 smash The Dark Knight as the highest-grossing domestic release in the company's history.
So far, the film has raked up more than $530 million in the U.S. and will grab a new audience next month: the film is set to arrive on streaming on September 5, according to Variety.

The winner of the Women's World Cup final, set for Sunday, will make history either way — neither England nor Spain has won it. The Spanish men won their last (and only) World Cup in 2010, but England is even hungrier: The birthplace of football* hasn't brought the cup home in 57 years.

Jessica Chastain told an odd story about the lengths she went to for attention when she was a kid.
After the actress noted she was quite "obnoxious" and "nerdy" in school, she recalled "sitting in the cafeteria and eating orange peels and banana peels because it made people notice me." Sure, they didn't notice her in a good way, but hey, it was something. "The other kids, they'd be like, 'Oh my god, look at her!'" she said. "I know, it's terrible. I just wanted people to notice me for being a weirdo, but at least then I was existing. I was something." Chastain sounded ashamed looking back on this now, although humiliating herself to gain the attention of her peers surely prepared her perfectly to campaign for an Oscar.

Would you rather be the "funny one" in a relationship, or be with someone who makes YOU laugh?
Over 12,000 Americans were asked what's more attractive on a date: Someone who makes them laugh, or someone who thinks they're funny.
By a four-to-one margin, most said . . . someone who makes them laugh.
Only 14% said being FOUND funny is more attractive . . . 56% said someone who makes you laugh is . . . and 14% said "not sure."
The other 16% said "NEITHER." So around 1 in 6 people don't think a sense of humor is an attractive trait in general. Seniors especially don't have time for jokes . . . 30% of people 65 and up gave humor a thumbs down.
One last stat, and not surprising: Men were twice as likely as women to say they'd rather be the "funny one."

Eggo has teamed up with Sugarlands Distilling to launch a new liqueur called Eggo Brunch-in-a-Jar Sippin' Cream.
It's 20% alcohol, 40-proof and "seamlessly blends the flavors of toasted Eggo waffles, sweet maple syrup, and rich butter, with a hint of smoky bacon."
If you're wondering WHY, an exec says they know it's difficult to be a parent dealing with "constantly changing schedules, household errands, family outings, and busy workdays" so they wanted to create something that can help them "find moments they can savor for themselves."
And what better way to do that than . . . special MORNING booze.
Eggo Brunch-in-a-Jar is available at select booze store retailers nationwide and online in select states.
By the way, this isn't the first time Eggo has gotten drunk, for the holidays last year, they partnered with the same distillery to make Eggo Nog, which was Eggo Waffle-flavored eggnog.

Ed Sheeran has no interest in headlining a Super Bowl Halftime Show. But he WOULD do it as a guest.
He says, quote, "I don't have pizazz. You watch Prince, Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga . . . Like, all of these amazing performers, I'm just not that. I'm not gonna have dancers on stage. I'm not gonna have fireworks and blah blah . . .
"I just can't, that's not me. I don't think that anyone wants to see me do the Super Bowl either."
Back in 2016, Ed was in consideration to join Coldplay to perform "Thinking Out Loud", but it didn't happen.

Today's Useless Fact of the Day - CDs hold 74 minutes of music because when Sony and Philips were creating them, they wanted to make sure one disc could hold Beethoven's "Ninth Symphony" . . . which comes in at right around 74 minutes.
Look it up that there is a debate about how fast this symphony should be played. For music nerds, it's rather interesting.
