Rain Day - In the late nineteenth century, at JT Rogers & Co Drug store on Waynesburg Pennsylvania's High Street, a farmer made a remark to pharmacist William Allison that it always rains on his birthday, which was July 29. In response, Allison began keeping track of the rainfall on the day each year. Currently, each year there is a street fair, entertainment on the courthouse steps, arts and crafts booths, hometown food booths, children's games, contests (such as an umbrella decorating contest), the naming of Miss Rain Day, and the hat bet.

A few people came close to winning it all in Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing, but they fell one ball short of cashing in on the massive jackpot. No one won the $830 million payout, and the estimated prize for Friday night's drawing has grown to over a billion dollars.

The winning numbers Tuesday were 7-29-60-63-66 with a Mega Ball of 15. (guess how many I got....right...NONE!)

Eat a snickers when you're hangry..A new study just came out, and it's the first to prove that being hangry really is a thing.

For three weeks, 64 people used an app to track their emotions and how hungry they felt. And it showed that not eating really does make us mad.

When people were craving food, they were 34% angrier and 37% more irritable. They also took 38% less pleasure in whatever they happened to be doing.

It's the first study to look at how being hangry affects us in the real world. Every other study so far was done in a lab setting.

The team behind it says it's important to avoid those situations, because your hanger won't necessarily go away once you eat.

Feeling hangry for even a day can affect your overall mood, and leave you in a slight rut for days or even weeks.

How often would you say you insult yourself? Like saying, "You're such an idiot" because you left your keys inside?

A new poll found the average is more than three times a day. That includes both insulting things you say, and insulting thoughts. So you don't necessarily have to say it out loud for it to count.

Women do it more than men. The average guy insults himself three times a day, or 1,095 times a year. For women it's four times a day, or 1,460 times a year.

BuzzFeed just did a poll on what does and doesn't belong on burgers. And 8% of us think tossing a hot dog or two on there sounds reasonable. Here are a few more potential burger toppings, and how we feel about them . . .

7. Avocado? 57% think it's a good burger topping.

8. Jalapeños? 46% of us are into it.

If someone asks you to turn the air conditioning UP, what do you think they mean? Do they want the room cooler, or warmer?

Over 4,000 Americans were polled, and most say it means WARMER. As in, "turn the temperature on the A/C up."

Of the people who answered, 62% said "up" means warmer and "down" means cooler. 38% said the opposite, that "up" means cooler.

Your answer might depend on where you're from though. People in the South and Midwest are the most likely to say turning the A/C "up" means you want it warmer. It's a little closer to an even split out West, and especially in the Northeast.

But no matter where you live, if turning the A/C "up" means cooler to you, you're in the minority.
