The next FIFA World Cup won’t come around again until 2030.

The 24th World Cup will mark the 100th anniversary of the original tournament.

The biggest tournament in the world is heading back to Europe as Spain, Portugal, and Morocco are co-hosts for the 2030 World Cup. 

Three South American countries – Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay – will host three honorable celebration matches for the centennial anniversary of the first ever World Cup that was held in Uruguay in 1930.

Spain beat Argentina 1-Nil to win this year's cup!

By far the most bizarre story of the week came from Maryland, where a sticky-fingered ne'er-do-well used a stolen kitten in an attempted bank robbery. The wild incident began when the suspect sauntered into a pet store and brazenly snatched the cat. However, that was just the start of his criminal misadventure as the man then dashed over to a nearby bank with the pilfered feline in tow. Upon arriving at a teller, the crook plopped the kitten into the hands of an employee while he wrote out a note demanding cash. Cops responding to the attempted robbery managed to take the man into custody and rescue the cat, which fortunately came out of the caper unscathed.

A 67-million-year-old Tyrannosaurus rex fossil nicknamed "Gus" was officially auctioned off at Sotheby's in New York for a record-breaking $50.1 million. The adult specimen stands 12.5 feet tall, measures 38 feet long, and is roughly 61% complete. Discovered on a private ranch in South Dakota in 2021, it has become the most expensive set of dinosaur bones ever sold.

A mystery bidder was the winner. I wish i had this kind of money to burn!
