If you ever say "does someone need a hug," don't direct it at a man. Now there's scientific proof he doesn't need one . . .
A new study in Germany found that women's stress levels tend to drop when their significant other hugs them. They tested it by checking for the stress hormone cortisol in their saliva before and after they were hugged. And it made a pretty big difference.
But when men received a hug from their partner, it didn’t help. Their stress level basically stayed the same, but it's not clear why.

A new poll of 2,000 pet owners found two-thirds of us let our pets sleep in bed with us now. And seven in ten think they actually sleep better with their pet next to them.
58% of people in relationships said they'd rather sleep next to their pet than their significant other.
Two-thirds said one benefit is their pet acting as their alarm clock each morning. Here are five more reasons we let them sleep with us . . .
1. Because they're "part of the family." 54% agreed with that.
2. It helps lower your stress and anxiety, 51%.
3. It's easier to settle in and fall asleep with them there, 47%.
4. Your quality of sleep is better, 44%.
5. It makes you feel more secure at night, 42%.
A separate survey for National Pet Month also found six in ten Millennials . . . and seven in ten Gen Zers . . . would rather own pets than have children.

The least popular salad toppings include: Seeds, popcorn, beans, and rice.

How much money do you think someone needs to make a year to officially be "RICH"? A new poll found your answer probably depends on how old you are . . .
Gen Zers said $394,000 a year . . . Millennials, $721,000 . . . Gen Xers, $887,000 . . . and Baby Boomers said just over $1 MILLION a year in income. Pretty much everyone agreed you're also "rich" if you've got around $1 million in savings.
51% of Americans believe they'll be rich someday, according to the survey. And 53% said that regardless of what you've heard, money CAN buy happiness.
