Enjoying the hear??? Portland is recovering from the hottest day ever recorded in the city -- 112, breaking the record of 108 set a day earlier -- amid an unrelenting heat wave that’s still baking the Pacific Northwest.
Seattle hit 102, a new record for June, and Canada recorded its highest temperature ever: 115 in a town in British Columbia. More records are expected to fall today. The Northeast will also see the mercury rise this week, though nothing compared to what’s happening out West.

You know it's a bad day in the Tour de France bicycle race when this happens!!!! Spectators...please...
The woman who accidentally caused the biggest pile-up in Tour de France history is still at large from both police, who want to question her, and the Tour itself, which wants to sue her. “Sign lady,” as she’s become known on social media, was holding up a cardboard sign for a TV camera when German cyclist Tony Martin rode right into it, causing a domino effect that left dozens of riders piled up on top of each other during the first stage of the race.

The new Fast & Furious movie, F9, blew the doors off the North American box office, bringing in $70 million in its debut weekend.
That’s not just the best opening of the pandemic by far, but solid even by pre-pandemic standards. The industry’s next big test comes in two weeks, when Marvel’s Black Widow premieres in theaters and on Disney+.

It's five o'clock somewhere!
But it doesn’t necessarily have to be 5PM to crack open a beer, according to some Americans. Data from a survey (by YouGov) shows roughly one in six (16%) adults consider noon the earliest acceptable time of day to have an alcoholic drink on non-working days. One in 10 (10%) say 5PM. Roughly one in eight (13%) say 6PM or later is the earliest acceptable time, while nine percent of Americans say it’s fine to grab a libation before 10AM. Men (13%) are more likely than women (7%) to say 10AM or earlier is appropriate to raise a glass. Young Americans age 25-30 (17%) are also fine with morning drinks before 10AM.

TMZ reports that Cardi B and Offset are expecting again -- and they made the announcement in grandiose fashion ... through a joint performance at the BET Awards!!!
The couple came out with the news Sunday during the broadcast -- and didn't have to say a thing about it either ... they let their actions speak for them. The Migos came out first for a medley songs, and were later joined by CB who was decked out in a revealing outfit.
And by that, we mean her massive baby bump was on display ... and, clearly, she's very pregnant. Looks like she's fairly far along too at this point ... at least 6 months, if not more.

A 45-year-old woman in New Zealand named Mary McCarthy got tested for Covid back in October. But doctors ended up finding something else - a Tiddlywink that had been stuck up her nose for 37 years.
It was a nasal test, and the swab dislodged it. But it didn't come out at first. Her nose hurt for months after the test and wouldn't stop running. She got an infection, but doctors thought it was just problems with her sinuses.
She finally went to the E.R. last Wednesday when the pain got worse. So they asked if she shoved something up there, and she said no . . . not since she was eight.
It turns out that as a kid, she liked to shove Tiddlywinks in each nostril and blow them out to see how far they'd fly. And one time, she inhaled one but never told her parents. She just pretended it didn't happen and moved on.
