Your latest shortage is coming soon....Huy Fong Foods Inc. has halted production of Sriracha due to an ongoing chili pepper shortage made worse this spring.
Hot sauce lovers will have to go without new bottles for months, including Sriracha, Chili Garlic, and Sambal Oelek.
The company’s pepper inventory had been dropping since July 2020 because of drought.
AND
Movie Theater Popcorn. An executive from a popcorn supplier says "Supply will be tight" partially because they're having to pay farmers more to keep growing popcorn, rather than switching to more lucrative crops like soybeans.
And it isn't just the popcorn itself. Theaters are also struggling to get the special bags for popcorn, with the sheen linings that keep butter from seeping out.

Fantasy Football is fun and all, but does your "league" have a "punishment" for coming in last? In one particular league, the penance for being the worst player in the league, basement-dweller Chris was forced to go eat at a fancy restaurant with a very large stuffed Winnie the Pooh animal.
To make sure everyone in the restaurant was aware, they sang Happy Birthday!
This harkened back to another restaurant-themed fantasy football punishment from a year ago, when Lee Sanderlin shared that he was forced to spend 24 hours in a Waffle House for finishing in last place in his league. He was allowed to take one hour off of his sentence for every waffle he consumed (he ended up eating nine waffles and leaving in 15 hours).

Researchers in China studied more than 170,000 people in the U.K. over seven years . . . and they found that moderate consumption of unsweetened AND sugar-sweetened coffee was associated with lower risk for death.
The average age of the people in the study was 56. And at the beginning, all the participants were healthy, without known cardiovascular disease or cancer.
The people who drank one-and-a-half to three-and-a-half cups of unsweetened coffee regularly were 15% to 21% less likely to die than those who didn't.
And the people who drank lightly sweetened coffee every day were 29% to 31% less likely to die. "Lightly sweetened," on average, was one spoonful of real sugar, the results were "inconclusive" for the people who added artificial sweeteners to their coffee. So not that Unicorn Frappuccino Mocha concoction from Starbucks.

73% of Americans say the weather outside can affect how productive we are at work, even if you work a desk job. So what does perfect workin' weather look like? According to a new survey, it's slightly cool outside with clear blue skies.
People were asked to name the top weather conditions that make them more productive, and less productive.
The top five that boost productivity are: Cool temperatures . . . blue skies . . . WARM temperatures . . . partly cloudy skies . . . and light rain.
The top five that make us less productive are: Heavy rain . . . thunder . . . temperatures below freezing . . . snow . . . and when it's way too hot out.
