Baseball is Back!!
It took a 99-day lockout, several missed "deadlines" that actually didn't matter and significant concessions from both sides but today 18 of 30 teams are playing.
Including the new Guardians in Cleveland. Not a new team, just a rebranded team.
The franchise originated in 1894 as the Grand Rapids Rippers, a minor league team based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, that played in the Western League. The team relocated to Cleveland in 1900 and was called the Cleveland Lake Shores.
The Western League itself was renamed the American League prior to the 1900 season while continuing its minor league status. When the American League declared itself a major league in 1901, Cleveland was one of its eight charter franchises. Originally called the Cleveland Bluebirds or Blues, the team was also unofficially called the Cleveland Bronchos in 1902. Beginning in 1903, the team was named the Cleveland Napoleons or Naps, after team captain Nap Lajoie.
Following Lajoie's departure after the 1914 season, club owner Charles Somers requested that baseball writers choose a new name. They chose the name Cleveland Indians, a revival of the nickname that fans gave to the Cleveland Spiders while Louis Sockalexis, a Native American, was playing for the team. That name stuck and remained in use for more than a century. Common nicknames for the Indians were the "Tribe" and the "Wahoos", the latter referencing their longtime logo, Chief Wahoo.
Now named for the Guardians of Traffic, eight monolithic 1932 Art Deco sculptures by Henry Hering on the city's Hope Memorial Bridge, which is adjacent to Progressive Field.

Rihanna has joined Kanye West, Jay-Z and other entertainment stars on Forbes' World Billionaires list.
Rihanna landed at spot #1,729 on the 2022 list with a net worth of $1.7 billion.
She has a catalog of hits dating back to the early 2000s, however, Rihanna's fortune isn't all due to her career in music. The superstar has her Fenty Beauty company to thank for a majority of her wealth. She launched it in 2017.
"Lord of the Rings" director Peter Jackson also landed on the list for the first time this year. Jackson was listed at #1,929 on the list with a net worth of $1.5 billion.

If you don't like it..buy the company!!!! After purchasing a 9.2% stake in Twitter, Tesla CEO Elon Musk will join the company’s board of directors. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em it seems: Musk had been a vocal critic of the social media company. After the announcement, Musk tweeted that he wants to work with CEO Parag Agrawal and the board “to make significant improvements to Twitter in coming months!". After Twitter share prices surged over 25% Monday following news of Musk's stock purchase, TWTR saw another 3% jump on news that he was joining the board.
Oh....and Twitter will begin testing the feature with its Twitter Blue subscribers in the next few months. Former CEO Jack Dorsey feared that making tweets editable could change their meaning after they started circulating. The addition of the edit feature catches Twitter up with rival social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram, which already allow users to edit after posting content.
